In addition to following rules stated in the handbook, students will be expected to follow the keyboarding/computer lab rules listed below: 1. Arrive on time 2. No eating, drinking or chewing gum 3. No personal grooming during lab time (leave your combs, brushes, make-up, etc. in your purse or pocket) 4. Treat all others and school property with respect 5. No throwing paper, ‘spit’ balls or related items in class 6. Speak to when spoken to or acknowledged by the teacher, otherwise do not talk. If you need help, raise your hand. 7. Do not change the appearance of the desktop in any manner: · Do not rename desktop icons · Do not change the background color or characteristics of the display · Do not use obscenity or profanity in naming or saving any teacher directed project 8. Do not vandalize lab computers or school property: back to the top · Do not remove or change the keyboard’s function, letter or number caps · Do not tamper with the computer or any related part (mouse, speakers, etc.) by disconnecting/changing its connection · Do not write on desk, computer or its related parts · Do not restart or power-off any equipment unless instructed by the teacher 9. Do only assigned work. Students are not allowed to access Internet, other programs, or do other assignments unless approved by the teacher. 10. At all times, leave work area clean. DISCIPLINE POLICY* Students who choose not to follow the computer lab or school rules could be referred to Mrs. Adams, the Assistant Principal and/or Dr. Banter, the Principal. |
