Rationale: The latest census data show that America has experienced a demographic revolution.  In the past thirty years, the African-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American, and the Native-American populations have grown tremendously. With the increasing demand for quality educators, especially with diverse backgrounds and work experiences, I want to make a positive contribution in helping shape the future leaders of this country.

Research and Practicum
Spring semester-2007, I completed various research projects to examine the concept of personnel administration and to examine problems related to personnel programs, policies, and procedures, and relate goals of organization and management to goals and welfare of staff members.  The study of school finance, management of schools, and school programs were thoroughly examined, along with an in depth study analyzing fiscal management from both district and building perspectives.

Winter semester-2006,
I completed major research project on current trends, innovative curricular designs, and styles of learning to build the foundation for innovative leadership and successful student performance.  In addition, various methods were examined and researched to create learning environments that emphasize and build student success.

Spring semester-2005, I completed a major research project that attempted to briefly examine the core academic educators' perception of how integrated technology in business education classes influences student achievement.  It focused on questionnaire responses of middle school academic core curriculum educators using an Educator Technology Profile and Business Education Assessment Survey.

Winter semester-2004, I completed a Practicum course that required me to complete a major research project about my school and district.  Data were gathered for various categories such as the study of the physical plant, study of the staff, study of the school, study of the student composition, and study of the curriculum.  After gathering all of the information for this class through various methods such as personal interviews and various reports, I was able to have a more holistic view of the school system.  Finally, I was able to make recommendations based on my findings.
